Motorcycle Enthusiast
I started riding motorcycles in 2007 and it has been a love of mine ever since. In 2013, my father and I rode our bikes from Central Texas to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. That one trip led us to decided that we just had to have an annual bike trip. The goal was to ride our motorcycles through every state and to do so together. We hit a total of 31 states together before tragedy struck. In 2018, my father was involved in an automobile accident and did not survive. There was no question about it – I not only felt obligated, but was determined to “complete the mission”.
On my first trip alone I decided to fill the lonely nights by writing about my day, a simple distraction that has led to a small following of family and friends. I ride a motorcycle most days to keep a clear head and maintain my sanity, but for ten days in September… I ride for Dad.
